Located on 33 acres of private woodland near Bailey, Colorado, bounded on two sides by national forest, with the North Fork of the South Platte River running through it, the River House at Morning Air Ranch is the perfect holiday location.
Come leave your busy life behind. Breathe the crisp, clean morning air. Relax. Unwind in the stunning beauty of the Rocky Mountains. And when you stir from your happy place, walk or drive to a half dozen restaurants, a brewery, or a winery within a few minutes of the property, head out to the river to fish, hike around the property, or take your mountain bike out for a ride around town.

The Property
Cross a private bridge to a tree-studded 33 acre private paradise, bordered on two sides by the Pike National Forest. Here you will find hills to climb, meadows to explore, and beautiful forests of Aspen, Blue Spruce, and Ponderosa Pine. The North Fork of the South Platte River flows next to the house, providing a soothing soundtrack for your visit. This pristine natural property is located just off of US Highway 285, close enough to be convenient, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Originally a ranch house for a working family, then home to a world-renowned jazz pianist, the home has been lovingly remodeled to update and refresh virtually everything, enhance the kitchen and baths, and preserve its unique charms (check out the leaded and stained glass windows). It has just enough quirks to be cool, and just enough new to be awesome. With its large master suite and spa-like bath (complete with the original clawfoot tub), it makes a great romantic getaway for two. We have beds, linens, kitchenware, and dining space for up to 7 (our occupancy is limited to 7 persons by our county's short-term rental license) if you want to bring more along.
The Main Level, located above the garage and accessed via outdoor stairs to the entry, includes the fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable great room with wood-burning stove and big-screen TV, the master suite with luxurious marble shower and claw foot tub, a 2nd bedroom and bathroom, the laundry room, a covered patio overlooking the river, and the spa deck with views of the river and stars.
The Upper Level houses bedrooms 3 & 4, each with its own private vanity and toilet and a shared tub/shower room in a comfortable Jack & Jill style. The sunroom is accessed through bedroom 4.
